Just needed a dose of inspiration, so plagiarized this one ;)

WHEN THINGS GO WRONG

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile,
but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit-Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow -You may succeed with another blow.

Often the goal is nearer than It seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given upWhen he might have captured the victor's cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out -
The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Mumbai: The city of elastic opportunities

I blog from Mumbai. This is my first time at the city. One thing that hits me on and on is the term "elastic opportunities". Why? For the simple reason that this city is beyond extended opportunities. Opportunities are extended only to a certain limit. But elasticity, you can stretch it to whatever extent you want to. The city has never been berift of possibilities and opportunities.

Coming from Bangalore, this city seems to be in such a flushed hurry. And courtesy, just goes out of the windows of the local trains that are stocked with humans, rushing to leave from "dont-know-where" to "dont-know-where"; that's Bombay..err Mumbai for me...
A new city, brimming with teeming crowd and each one hunting for a possibility somewhere at the next station!

Sorrys and thank yous is as extinct as the dodo! This morning as I was travelling on a local train, happened to bump with a fellow traveller while getting down. Tried to extend the courtesy of saying sorry but the guy was already half a mile ahead.
This is a city in a hurry! No time to extend courtesy and no time to recieve one!

Traveling in local trains is so much of an education on the way this city transpires, conspires and inspires! Some blokes gazing at me on my face with that question mark, some pushing me to the corner of the compartment, some trying to squeeze themselves to read the morning paper, while some just yapping away to glory, the best form of entertainment enmass.

One of the local slangs learn on my way to VT. " Champion ki dum" ( tail of a champion)
Apparently for one who tries to act smart but fails miserably :)

Whatever said and done, this city is full of life. Rush is by the hour but yes that's whatMumbai epitomises...
I am in a rush too...Maybe the Mumbai effect!! Catch you guys later:)

Sea: bringing out the beauty in me!

The tide seemed to be a hungry one. Sea on one side and humanity on the other. Which one had the greater power, this was left best for existence to fathom. But at that time, trying to figure out as we moved towards Marina beach, a feeling of humans overpowering the sea seemed quite evident.

The beach seemed to be coloured with denizens out and out, some spreading themselves across the light brown soft sand, some squatting in small groups, sharing eateries along with laughters, some talking sweet nothings into each other's ears and some well, just enjoying the fun and frolic of a Sunday evening.
Afterall, sand, sea and the evening, the combination could not be less than enthralling.

The poet in my friend came alive. His heart spoke out. The mouth was just a medium. His description of the sea was alluring enough for me to figure out his romance with the sea. As we dug our legs into the sand and moved towards the sea, he ruminated about his longing for the sea, bringing around streaks of nostalgia as he smiled towards the horizon.

I could not see the sea, yet. He could feel it from a distance. That was my friend for you.
Finally after a 200 meters walk, we could watch the sea. What a beauty it was! All of a sudden the whole place which brimmed with activity felt so nice an pleasant. The focus was generated to the sea and the rest, well was oblivion!

We rushed like small kids towards the water. Did we care less? Heavenly is all I can say as my feet touched the first waves of the sea. After that, I was all poetry!

We stood at the shores of the beach for quite sometime, speechless and looking towards the waves play their game.

Many thoughts lingered in my mind, of them some being calmness, happiness, gladness and blast me could not help thinking about the great Tidal Wave Tsunami!

Imagining the tide outdo its patience was overwhelming! The sea definitely did make me feel humble. Could thank it no less for bringing relief to my senses in whatever ways it could. Surely there would be many like me who feel glad about nature playing its mystic flute and soothing us in whatsoever ways possible, but the thanklessness of we humans was one which I could not get rid of even then as I looked around.

But that's a different story altogether. So let's keep this to thankfullness at this point in time. :) Cheers.

Fanaa: the movie's worth its name..nearly killed yours truly ;)

As the clock ticks, it reads 1.12 a.m. A minute away from the famous Nelson number which our cricketers are afraid to tread! I am just back from watching the movie Fanaa and what an experience it was. Imagine inspiring one to write about it as soon as back from the movie would definitely be a worthwhile one!

How I too wished that I could write a pleasant note on Fanaa. How I sincerely wished that Aamir Khan and Kajol would have never accepted the script at the first place. On second thoughts, maybe the whole idea of Yash raj films producing the same, the duo would have just missed reading the script.

Result. Utter waste of public time and money. How could the great star Aamir do this to me? How could such a loosely bound script be enticing to a star who has ultra hits like Lagaan and Rand De Basanti to his credit, with its script so tightly packed.

The story is so loosely bound that one is surprised by the compleities of coincidences that happen around the lives of the cast and crew of the movie.
The screen play is so hilarious that at one point in time when there is dire treat of the country coming under an attack, I could not get off my head the thought that maybe Rajnikanth would be the surprise entry and he would save the country.

Many must have watched the movie. Many would be wanting to watch. For those who want to watch it, a serious piece of advice. Don't, or else you might just be Fanaa...

Note: There are people who absolutely loved the movie. No issues. I just put my POV, that's it. Debates for another day, please:)
